About the ParishThe Parish of Busbridge lies south of Godalming town in Surrey, the county with more trees than any other in England.
657 properties are occupied by 758 people. Bordered by Bramley, Hambledon, Hascombe and Milford in beautiful countryside, it has at it's heart Winkworth Arboretum, a much visited National Trust property.
The lands surrounding the houses designed by the world renowned architect Sir Edwin Lutyens with gardens by the influential designer Gertrude Jekyll were designated a conservation area in 1982.
Miss Jekyll lived in Munstead House until she commissioned Lutyens to design Munstead Wood, where she lived until her death.
The Jekyll family graves, also designed by Lutyens are in Busbridge Churchyard nearby.
